Few days ago at a local shop. Could not say 'NO' and only for $499 too. We'll see how she shoots. Overall feel is Top Notch. Very tigh, no lose parts, I put on ann upper rail mount which fit perfectly and am using an ncstar reddot like the burris fastfire but at 1/4 the price.

A fellow member of Calguns.net said at the SHOT show he asked about taking it apart and they guys looked at him like he was from Mars.  They said to run a bore snake down the barrel.  ::)  Can you actually take it apart easily to clean it?

I thought you said you weren't going to buy one until they had been out on the market for a while.  I guess 10 minutes was long enough?  :D

After actually holding it I was sold on it. Not plastic as originally told it was either.

You can take it apart for a strip clean per instructions. I have not done so yet though.

OK here is the review :

I only had a short period of time to get some shooting in today at the range, but I broke in my new GSG-5 MP5 .22lr clone.
It was perfect.

I did not even have time to sight-in the mini red-dot, so it was shooting a bit low, but at 30 feet I made a face on my target with the shots (Picture up soon).

I have shot 2 mags of Aguila Super Max High Velocity SolidPOints. Not one issue.
I have shot 2 mags of the new Winchester SuperSpeed HP 37gr bullets. Not one issue.
I have shot 1 mag of MiniMags. Not one issue.
I have shot one mag of American Eagle High Velocity. One FTF, shots felt 'weak' compared to others.

Overall the rifle can carve out point of aim at 30 feet at full rapidfire as seen in this video with the Aguila stuff.

Trust me , if it is this accurate with the aguila stuff (which is not), it should be highly accurate with GOOD ammo. I will test this at 25-50yards over the coming weeks.

overall it IS my favorite plinker right now. The little Red dot works well with it, without breaking the beautiful lines of the MP5 design.

Here is the target I did off-hand. It was only at 30feet, but still made the other two guys next to me laugh.  ;D

A local gun shop here in the Philippines is bringing in the rifle, but the price here would be twice as much - actually, more than US $1,000 due to the importation and huge taxes (come to think of it, a base model Ruger 10/22 costs about US$ 600 and a base model Glock 9mm costs about US$850) , I am planning on dropping by the gun shop to pay a reservation fee for a unit.

As much as I love guns,if they charged that much.My advice to you is,forget buying the gun, take the money and move from that place.

Yeah, if only I could move out, I probably would.  Guns and gun accessories cost a lot more here since they are imported.  The only affordable ones are the Philippine made Armscor brand.

I've held an armscor AR15 .22lr clone.. Wow.. was that a POS. No offense to you, just saying.  :)
Their AK47 .22lr is much better looking.

ps. I'll be testing the GSG5 at 25-50 yards tomorrow. Maybe even 100, although with a non magnified red dot I might pass on that.
