OK,

Here are the finished pics of my Aug. Sorry about the faux fur background again.
Hope your not bored.

Thanks!

P.S. I don't recommend Barnsgunparts.com. Not dependable. Messed up my order twice and lost it or forgot to ship it.

Thanks Spector.

I tried out your epoxy putty process on this one.

I need to take it to the range to see how it does.

Thanks,

Your welcome,

I have shoot countless rounds using the expoxy, that I talked about, the Devcon expoxy. And it has never failed me.I found other uses for it also.I use a lot of Allen head screws in my mods.I finally got tired of using the unuser friendly L shaped allen wrenches. So one day cut one off straight, made a wooden handle for it,and covered it in the Devcon Expoxy.Very nice finish, holds it in place. And now I have a great handy tool that far surpasses the old L shaped Allen Wrenches.Just thought that maybe helpful to some one.Take care and Awesome mods you produce.Spector

PJAS, where did you get the faux suppressor?  That's exactly what I need for my Savage 64/AUG build.

Incredible!!  Is it a 10/22 conversion, or another rifle?  Also, what did you use for the donor shell?  Was it an airsoft, or an actual AUG?  GOOD WORK!!

Wilit & Seraph,

It's not really a faux suppressor, it just a muzzle break. Here is a link to it on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/RUGER-10-22-BARREL-STABILIZER-MUZZLE-BREAK-FLASH-HIDER_W0QQitemZ200177666410QQihZ010QQcategoryZ383QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

My Aug is a stock 10-22 in a BE (Both Elephants) Airsoft Low priced Electric. It is one of the least expensive Aug Airsofts. With shipping it was around $44.00.
I figured out my total cost for the conversion. It is approx $304.00 . Thats with everything you see in the photo plus a trigger assist installed on the ruger's trigger guard. It reduces the actual trigger pull by 50% .

I took it to a gun show this past weekend. Got lots of EWWWs and AAAAs but no offers. One guy who was totting his real Aug thought that mine was one of the newer versions. I introduced it as "The Poor Mans AUG".

Thanks for that comments. Visit and share often.

Amazing work on that rifle!

Do you think it would be possible to fit a 25-round magazine inside the fake AUG mag, instead of just adding a 10-round mag on top?

Thanks.

Nice build chief.

I tried the higher cap mags inside a fake aug body but it won't fit. Only way to do it, is to cut along the line so fthe 25yr 22lr mag and slide it in the 'groove' inside the fake aug mag. Would look kind of odd though. I experimented on one mag and it came out looking like ass.

How did you handle the safety for the 10/22?  Also, did you have to widen the magwell to handle the 10/22 mag, since I imagine it is larger than the Aug one.
Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments.

Regarding the question about the safety on the AUG. The safety incorporated in the AUG airsoft is utilized. It is a trigger block.

Regarding the hi-cap mags. My Ramline and Butler Creek are to long. They hit the AUG grip.
The Ruger mag fits through the well just fine. Just some minor Dremel work on the lip edges. Nothing drastic.
Here is a pic of the AUG mag.

Metal,

I'm assuming that your referring to the 10-22's mag release. The back of the AUG mag has a cutout that you can slip your finger into the receiver to push the Ruger's mag release.

Here is a pic of the AUG mag.

If it's the AUG's release your asking about, I used ABS cement to tac it in place.

Have FUN!! ;)
